Doron Kempel

Mr. Doron Kempel is the Founder of SimpliVity Corporation and serves as its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kempel served as President of SimpliVity Corporation. He is a storage industry veteran who has more than 20 years of executive management and technology experience including worldwide sales, business development, engineering, finance, marketing, and strategic planning. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Diligent Technologies Corporation. Mr. Kempel was responsible for the management, execution, and strategic direction of Diligent Technologies Corporation. Before joining Diligent Technologies, Mr. Kempel served as Vice President and General Manager for the Media Solutions Group at EMC Corporation, where he launched as an autonomous global division consisting of independent engineering, sales, marketing, business development, professional services, and other business functions. Over a three-year period, he oversaw the development and integration of several technical solutions, established, and managed a global independent sales force, directed alliance, and marketing efforts, led the acquisition of two companies and grew the business unit to a multimillion-dollar revenue source for EMC Corporation. Before joining EMC in 1998, Mr. Kempel served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Imedia Corporation. He has also held positions with Robertson, Stephens & Company's Corporate Finance & Technology Group, and The Israel Corporation Ltd., one of Israel's largest holding and investment companies. He also served in multiple command roles as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). He served as Chief Executive Officer of SEPATON, Inc. (Sangate Systems) from September 2001 to November 2001. He served as Chairman of Diligent Technologies Corporation. He served as Chairman of Sangate Systems from September 2001 to November 2001. He serves as Director of SimpliVity Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University and a Law degree (LL.B) and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Tel-Aviv University.
