Dr. Alissa Johnson

Dr. Alissa Johnson is the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) for the Office of Administration in the Executive Office of the President (EOP). Dr. Johnson provides vision, guidance, and leadership for the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) initiatives at the EOP.

Dr. Johnson has experience growing and managing IT programs and developing IT solutions for various government agencies. Her background includes areas such as information technology management, cyber security, systems engineering and program management.

Dr. Johnson has held the position of Associate Vice President for the Enterprise Solutions Division at Catapult Technology, where she was responsible for the management and oversight of major contracts within the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, Transportation Security Agency, and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Prior to that position, she worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Deputy Chief Technology Officer & Solutions Architect. She began her career with the Department of Defense as a Cryptologic Mathematician and has worked within many Intelligence and Defense agencies as well as private sector companies, including: McClendon Corporation as Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE); Eagle Alliance as an ISSE Department Manager/Implementation Services Deputy Operations Manager; and Logicon DPC, a Northrop Grumman company, as a Senior Network Engineer.

Dr. Johnson holds a PhD in Information Technology Management from Capella University; an M.S. in Telecommunications and Computer Networks from The George Washington University; and a B.S. in Mathematics from Savannah State University. She has also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at multiple universities and has developed and/or taught numerous courses within information technology, business, and mathematics.

During her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her family, and playing violin and piano.
