Kevin P. Ford

Deputy Director, Technology
National Security Agency

Mr. Ford graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. In 1991, he attended the Center for Advanced Engineering Study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also graduated from The George Washington University with a Masters in Engineering Management degree in 1995. He graduated from the Defense Systems Management College – Advanced Program Managers Course in April 2001. Mr. Ford attended the IC EXCEL Program in April 2006.

Mr. Ford began work at NSA as a Coop student intern in 1982. He has served as a project engineer, program manager, systems engineer, and line manager in a variety of technical organizations for both the SIGINT and Information Assurance missions. This includes a field tour with the Department of Defense where he was a field engineer that serviced information systems throughout Europe and North Africa. From 2003 –2005, Mr. Ford served as the Field Chief for a European site. Upon returning to NSAW, Mr. Ford served as the Chief, Engineering Services within the Information Technology Directorate and simultaneously served as the Program Executive Officer for Information Technology. From 2007 to 2010 he served as the Deputy Director for Enterprise Information Technology and from 2010 to 2013, Mr. Ford served as the Deputy Director for High Performance Computing. He assumed his current position in June 2013.

Presidential Rank of Meritorious Executive Award - December 2008.

Mr. Ford resides in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife Susan. Susan is a private practice attorney. Kevin and Susan enjoy sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
