Peter Hannaford is Managing Director of Datacenterpeople Ltd, a company offering Recruitment, Contract Staff and Consulting exclusively to the datacenter industry. Peter has been around datacenters since commercial computing was in its infancy in the early 1970's first as an operator and programmer on a 32k NCR Century 100 for Societe Generale in UK, progressing through systems development before being sent to Nigeria in 1976 to manage the construction of the bank's Lagos datacenter and implementation of Nigeria's first on-line banking system. He joined investment bank BAII in 1986 to head up their global IT function before leaving in 1989 to found Waterfields Ltd which became a market leader in the design and build of datacenters in Europe. He sold Waterfields in 2001 and started Tecnikon Ltd which was acquired by APC in 2003. After seven years with APC , latterly as Vice President for Datacenters and Alliances EMEA, Peter left to form his venture, Datacenterpeople Ltd, which aims to find and place the best DataCenterPeople Ltd.
