André Rouyer

André has spent his entire career at Schneider Electric and has worked in power electronics for over 35 years. He retired few years ago from his position as the Director of Standardization and Environment for the IT business division. He has held various positions in the company from marketing to services, including spending 4 years in the US as Product Marketing Director for Schneider Electric’s UPS Division. During the last 15 years of his career he was responsible for the development of strategic alliances as the global director of this activity. André was also responsible for managing the relationship with standards bodies and groups developing guidelines and Codes of Conduct worldwide.

 André is currently the director the Data Center Market Committee at the Gimélec. He is the Chairman of The Green Grid EMEA Liaison Work Group and a member of the EMEA Technical Working Group.

He also chairs the European Coordination Group Cen / Cenelec / ETSI on Green Data Centers and the French AFNOR committee on Resources Efficiency for and by IT.

A.Rouyer is involved in various Data Centers working groups at the European Commission. He is E.C reviewer of the co-funded R&D projects within DG Connect. He is finally a member of the working group on the european code of conduct managed by the Joint Research Center.

André graduated from the University of Montpellier, France with a master agreement in Electronics.
