As Hyve Solutions’ VP of Engineering, Conor is responsible for leading Hyve’s hardware, software, and field sales engineering teams as they tackle server platforms at scale.  Conor has nearly 20 years of server and data center experience with end user, component vendor, and server design roles.  His background includes server and modular data center design at Rackable Systems, Opteron evangelism and alliance management at AMD, and data center site operations in the early days at Yahoo!  In-line with the mantra of the Open Compute Project, Conor’s mission is to enable purpose-built, scalable data center servers and racks with a focus on mechanical design, energy efficiency, and reduction of operational complexity in the scalable computing space.   He holds a BS from San Jose State University.

As a current Incubation Committee member, Conor has helped to shape new projects by proactively providing guidance and feedback to incubated projects, ensuring that OCP principles are embodied in design specifications, encouraging project chairs to bring new specs to IC, and contributing back to the committee with Hyve-designed solutions. Conor, through Hyve Solutions, contributed the Hyve Solutions OCP 1500 and Torpedo designs and has designed in the OCP networking mezzanine standard into the Hyve Ambient Series server family.
