Geng Lin is the CTO of Corporate Networks at Google, leading the transformation of enterprise networking architecture to support cloud-based IT services. Previously, he was Fellow and CTO of Networking Business at Dell where he was responsible for strategy, system architecture, product innovation, and partnership and acquisition of key technologies. During his tenure, Dell Networking Business grew its revenue over 300%. Prior to Dell, he was CTO of IBM Alliance at Cisco Systems, responsible for technology direction, strategy, and solution development of the multi-billion dollar joint Cisco-IBM solution portfolio worldwide. Dr. Lin is widely recognized as a leading expert in enterprise IT and cloud architectures. He is a contributing author of two books, and over 60 papers and conference speeches. Lin holds eight patents. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Peking University and Ph.D. degree from the University of British Columbia, all in Computer Science.
