Scarcity of land, increases in real estate prices and limitations on power availability are challenges facing most metropolitan data center hubs around the world. With the ability to support Tier 1 cities without requiring a central city address and incorporating state of the art design and infrastructure, the new breed of technology parks and campuses have become the powerhouses of the digital age. As well as offering research facilities, office space and living accommodation they also have the ability to support the industry from within by developing new talent and new technologies as well as incubating start ups.
This panel will address the growing challenges faced by metropolitan hub cities in meeting their own ICT requirements, as well as the role that these new IT Parks potentially play in developing and sustaining growth, business, innovation and talent within the local sector.
