The UAE owns one of the most advanced ICT infrastructures in the world, largely accredited to comprehensive government support of ICT infrastructure as a critical enabler of economic diversification, efficiency and modernisation. Under the Vision 2021 the UAE aspires to be among the best countries in the world by 2021, with technology being one of the pillars enabling a knowledge-based society.

With the creation of smart initiatives such as eGovernment and mGovernment, 2015 sees the roll-out of the UAE Federal Government Network, in support of the Smart Nation vision. With the federal network, the UAE has reached a fundamental milestone in integrating and offering government services through cloud solutions and Virtual Data Centers, hereby establishing an agile and scalable infrastructure capable of meeting future demands and realising Vision 2021.
