VP Engineering & Corporate Sustainability
As Chief Sustainability Officer, Joe provides strategic guidance for Fidelity's sustainability program across its business units and corporate functions including the firm's energy and water resources, GHG emissions reporting and ISO 14001 EMS program. As the VP of Engineering he has responsibilities for critical infrastructure design and operations. He played a key role in formalizing Fidelity's data center strategy, site selection process and the design for Centercore - its next generation data center.
Joe actively supports the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Faculty member and reviewer for their Education Provider Program. He served on the LEED steering Committee and core committee in advancing LEED 2.2 for New Construction and most recently the LEED for Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance. He presents regularly on energy, data center, and sustainability topics at the Corporate EcoForum, CoreNet Global, NISCA, BOMA, NAIOP, Uptime Institute, Environmental Defense Fund, and U.S. Department of Energy.
